I May Have Forgotten How to Do This...

But here is a message from Dan Wenninger: 1Way returns this Tuesday (2/24) with Oblique Orchestra at 9pm. After our set there will be an open, large group collective improvisation starting at 10pm. Anything goes, any instrument or sound making device. There is a house drum kit. Once the piece has started feel free to join or leave the improvisation when you want. This takes place at the Go Factory. 1935 W. 96th off of Madison. 3rd floor. Park in the large fenced in parking lot and use the door closest to the street. Donations are graciously accepted. Doors open at 8:30pm. Music starts at 9pm. Dress warm, there is a wood burning stove but it's still a warehouse in Cleveland, in February. -Dan

One third of the followers of this blog are former members of the Ragged Bags...

(Actually, the blog just lost one of its six followers, so now 40% of the followers are former members of the Ragged Bags...)

Which is neither here nor there. Right now I am blogging in a vain attempt to hold onto what's left of my sanity. I would have liked to be at this gig:

Eli Keszler/Adam Bohman/Steve Beresford live at Cafe Oto, Dalston, London, 04/01/11

Or at any of the three performances of the musical that Talibam! wrote and performed with Sam Kulik: "Talibam! Goes To Bed with Sam Kulik and Discovers Atlantis" (click on the header and read more, if you care, or dare, to...)

The Other Green Phlegm

Thanks to Waldo for being concerned about my absence. It was partly due to connection problems, from being in Tremont, then due to the storm, and partly due to band commitments and not finding much of anything that I wanted to post about. Her's something, a U.K. artist named Phlegm:

As usual, you can click on the header for more info. If I understand correctly, he either lives or frequently works in Sheffield, an old steel town, and home of Derek Bailey.
